Being enough
The word "enough" lies at the heart of my conversations with leaders.
Reactive tendencies often stem from a belief that something in me is lacking, missing, or at risk of being lost.
Under all the business context, leadership models, and rationalization typically lies a painfully simple question.
Am I smart enough?
Am I liked enough?
Am I valuable enough?
Am I good enough?
AM I ENOUGH?
The answer, of course, is YES - because you always have been.
To get unstuck, I invite leaders to take their “enough” question and point it outside themselves. Can they help others feel:
Safe enough
Loved enough
Healthy enough
Seen enough
Included enough
When we let go of OUR need to "be enough," we can turn our attention to creating the conditions for others to thrive.
